Full Time

Hours: Monday - Friday; 8am- 5pm

Responsibilities

Coordinates the Infection Control Program in accordance with the guidelines and regulatory requirements of the Center of Disease Control on a facility-wide basis. Ensure that all existing and newly hired employee are compliant with national, state and organizational health requirements and to support efforts to remove or reduce risk of injury to employees while in the workplace. Reviews policies and procedures to insure compliance with all regulatory and accrediting standards. Develops and implements programs to promote prevention and control of infections.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Coordinate all pre-employment and annual employee health testing, assessments and required immunizations are appropriate and timely, and maintain related records for all employees, as well as follow up on positive TB screens and report to regulatory agencies as
  • Coordinate with Human Resources to ensure all employee health-related procedures, treatments and documents are recorded accurately and timeline the Employee Health tracking system.
  • Manage all immunizations/vaccination programs (e.g., annual flu immunization program) at appropriate intervals as indicated by divisional, state or other requirements; notify employees and their managers of
  • Coordinate the process to evaluate and approve or deny immunization exemption requests; audit adherence to masking requirements as appropriate for approved exemptions.
  • In coordination with other departments, develop, implement and maintain new Employee Health programs as required based on governing agencies or policy
  • Collaborate with all JV system facilities for employee health clinics and coordinators regarding general employee health issues and/or changes and related to employee health support provided by these clinics to employees assigned to work in the
  • Coordinates and participates in orientation, in services and continuing education programs that promote occupational health safety and standards.

Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required.
  • Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and accrediting standards relating to Infection Control.
  • A minimum of one year relevant hospital experience.
  • Certified Professional in Infection Control preferred
