Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

  • Support clients with mobility needs, transfers, and safe movement using hoists or aids.

  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met.

  • Administer medication in accordance with care plans and under supervision.

  • Monitor and record clients physical and emotional well-being.

  • Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical stimulation.

  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with nurses, families, and care managers.

  • Uphold the highest standards of hygiene, infection control, and health & safety protocols.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent overseas qualification).

  • Good spoken and written English communication skills.

  • Caring, empathetic, and respectful attitude towards vulnerable individuals.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Basic knowledge of safeguarding procedures and person-centred care principles.

  • Willingness to undertake mandatory training and continuous development.

Experience

  • Preferred: At least 6 months to 1 year of prior experience in a care home, nursing home, domiciliary care, or hospital setting.

  • Newly trained candidates may also be considered based on attitude, learning ability, and commitment.

Working Hours

  • Full-time: 37.5 to 48 hours per week

  • Flexible shifts available: Days, Nights, Weekends, and Bank Holidays

  • Overtime may be offered depending on availability and demand
