Job Description: Database Manager / Data Analyst

Department: Information Technology / Data Services
Reports To: Chief Information Officer (CIO)
Location: Remote (EST working hours)

Role Overview:

This role combines database management, data warehousing, and data analysis responsibilities. The position focuses on maintaining reliable data systems, ensuring data accuracy and availability, and supporting business decisions through reporting and insights. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain SQL databases and cloud-based data warehouse environments.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, views, and data structures for reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure smooth and accurate data integration from multiple sources.
  • Monitor data quality, system performance, and overall database reliability.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and automated workflows using BI tools.
  • Support teams with data access and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Identify and resolve data issues, ensuring consistency and accuracy across systems.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience with SQL and database management.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure).
  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Understanding of data integration and data warehousing concepts.
  • Ability to analyze data and communicate insights effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate).
  • Knowledge of data governance and performance optimization.
  • Background in data analysis or business intelligence.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
