Employment Opportunity:
Blue Sage is hiring a retail manager for our Waitsfield dispensary.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, personable, and detail oriented person to join our team.
This dynamic position requires a special individual with both team management skills, and the organizational acumen to handle the unique compliance and inventory aspects of this post.
This is a full time position, and we are seeking a person that is willing to commit to a multi-year employment relationship with the opportunity to grow within the team and company.
Pay will begin with an hourly wage during the training period, and have the potential to grow into a salaried position for the successful applicant.
Prior management experience is important, and prior cannabis experience is a strong asset.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
-Deliver exceptional customer service in both direct customer interaction and in shepherding the well established Blue Sage customer-first culture.
-Observing and maintaining appropriate regulatory and legal compliance across all aspects of the retail business.
-Maintaining and operating the POS system which handles all retail transactions.
-Oversight of the daily closing financials.
-Inventory tracking and management: product purchasing, receiving, and deployment to the sales floor.
-Staff management including setting work schedules, fostering effective team cohesion and ensuring the execution of standard company operating procedures.
-The applicant should be a staff role model of retail professionalism in demeanor and verbal communication.
Qualifications:
Must be able to work weekends and occasional evenings.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
A familiarity with cannabis, and a passion to learn all there is to know about it.
Top-notch customer service skills.
Must be at least 21 years of age and pass all applicable background checks.
Training/education will be provided for retail SOP's/POS systems & Cannabis inventory/Vermont State Cannabis Control Board requirements and regulations.
Exceptional applicants may have:
Prior management experience, especially cannabis experience.
Experience with POS systems and product inventory management.
Confidence with basic accounting and cash handling practices.
Strong organizational skills.
