Power Platform Developer Part Time (Remote)

<h2>Overview</h2> <p>GovCIO is currently hiring a highly skilled and experienced Microsoft Power Platform Developer with experience in Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse) to design, develop, implement, and maintain innovative digital solutions. These solutions will streamline critical business processes, enhance operational efficiency, improve data-driven decision-making, and support mission effectiveness through modern digital transformation initiatives. This position will be fully remote within the United States, with core hours of operation from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET. This position has an expected start date of January 2026.</p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Provides subject matter expertise on source system data and business rules to support development, implementation and operations of new or enhanced databases, data warehouses (DW) and analytic systems. Performs data validation to assure data quality within new and enhanced databases.</li> <li>Design, develop, and deploy user-friendly and functionally robust applications using Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven) to address identified business needs and automate annual processes.</li> <li>Develop, implement, and optimize automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to streamline repetitive tasks, integrate disparate systems, and improve data accuracy and flow across the DAF MS365 environment.</li> <li>Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data models using Microsoft Power BI, providing actionable insights from complex data sets to support strategic and operational decision-making.</li> <li>Utilize Dataverse (formerly Common Data Service) for robust data storage and management within Power Platform solutions, ensuring data integrity, security, and scalability.</li> <li>Integrate Power Platform solutions with other DAF MS365 services (e.g., SharePoint Online, Teams, Outlook) and approved external systems as required.</li> <li>Provide ongoing operational support, troubleshooting, and bug fixes for all developed Power Platform solutions to ensure their continuous and smooth operation.</li> <li>Implement enhancements, updates, and performance optimizations to existing solutions based on user feedback, evolving requirements, and platform updates.</li> <li>Manage solution deployments, version control, and environment management within the DAF MS365 Power Platform ecosystem.</li> <li>Collaborate effectively with clients and subject matter experts (SMEs), and end-users to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements for new and existing solutions.</li> <li>May support end users with specific ad hoc reporting and analytic needs to provide further insights on the data.</li> <li>Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications and solution designs.</li> <li>Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback to ensure developed solutions meet user expectations and business objectives.</li> <li>Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed solutions, including technical specifications, architecture diagrams, user manuals, and training materials.</li> <li>Actively participate in knowledge transfer sessions with government personnel and other team members to ensure continuity of operations and build internal capability.</li> <li>Follow industry best practices for low-code/no-code development, solution architecture, and quality assurance.</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <h2>Required Skills and Experience</h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor\'s degree in business administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Resource Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related fields with a minimum of 12 years of experience.</li> <li>Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in developing, implementing, and managing solutions with Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, and Power BI.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Dataverse (CDS).</li> <li>Understanding of relational databases and data modeling principles.</li> <li>Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).</li> <li>Basic understanding of front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.</li> <li>Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and articulate business value.</li> </ul> <h2>Preferred Skills and Experience</h2> <ul> <li>Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment.</li> <li>Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.</li> </ul> <h2>Clearance Required</h2> <p>Ability to obtain/maintain VA Suitability/Public Trust Moderate Clearance.</p> <h2>Company Overview</h2> <p>GovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT. Are you ready to be a transformer?</p> <h2>Posted Pay Range</h2> <p>The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.
