<p><b><u>General Summary:</u></b></p><p>Merchandising Assistants provide diverse support for buyers in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.  Merchandise Assistants possess strong communication skills and act as a liaison between Buyers, internal business partners and our external supplier community.  The ideal Merchandising Assistant is resourceful, confident in problem solving, well organized and a team player.  Merchandising Assistant provide support relating to the efficient and profitable operation of their assigned departments and categories.  The Merchandising Assistant will be ensuring and being responsible for key steps in our end-to-end business processes of Supplier Set Up, SKU Creation, PO Creation, Advertising, Billing and Customer Support.  The Merchandising Assistant role is a steppingstone to careers at Family Dollar and the experience gained allows team members to transition into exempt roles with progressive responsibilities.</p><p> </p><p><b><u>Principal Duties & Responsibilities:</u></b></p><p><span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">·        </span> Communicate regularly and consistently with suppliers obtaining new product information, along with pricing, description, case pack, supplier, UDA and UPC updates, ensure work is submitted and completed by responsible team members</p><p><span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">·        </span> Owns compiling needed data and making decision on SKU attributes, ensuring accuracy rating of 90% or higher for new item set up/maintenance and price changes submissions</p><p><span style="overflow-wrap: break-word;
