Email / SMS Copywriter (AI First)

We're an innovative e-comm and healthcare brand building something big and straightforward: the best place for those over 45 to get real health care that helps them feel strong, healthy, and happy as they get older. Separately, we also buy and grow businesses that are leaders in their niches.

WHO WE ARE & HOW WE OPERATE
We're a hard-driving, fast-paced team of continuous improvers—a team, not a family—hiring and developing stars (leaders) in every role. We live by six core beliefs that drive massive success:

Remarkable: Go the extra mile to create jaw-dropping experiences (JDCE) that turn first-timers into re-order loyalists-we're in the reorder business. Develop unique superpowers; do what competitors won't.

Adaptable: Lifelong learners who grow or die-learn fast, fail fast, grab ideas anywhere, simplify everything, and proactively fix/improve everything around you.

Accountable: Own your outcomes like it's your company - be demanding yet supportive, 100% responsibility, share updates in Slack/Kustomer (our collective brain), own mistakes and fix them fast.

Speed is King: Act now over perfection; good executed today beats perfect next week. Maniacal urgency, get sh*t done measurably, predisposed to action and efficiency.

Don't Sugar Coat It: Tell the truth straight - tough talks help growth; - uncomfortable conversations fuel progress; no avoidance, speak up respectfully.

Humble: Think of the business first - admit gaps, share wins, own losses, pick what's right over who's right.

Role:

We are looking for a sharp, creative, fast, AI-First Email/SMS Copy Manager to join the team. This is a role for someone who loves email, understands how to develop and iterate on a brand, understands how to write copy that HOLDS ATTENTION, and knows how to use AI as a co-pilot… Ideally you have worked in industries that may have sms or email marketing restrictions (gambling, healthcare, cannabis etc.)

…not a crutch.

You’ll own copywriting for 1 brand responsible for creating high-converting, brand-aligned email campaigns and flows—averaging 30+ emails & 30+ sms, per month. From product (warm up sequences) to educational content, to lead nurture (working to convert qualified leads into sales) to flows that touch the entire customer journey, you'll create everything from scratch or refine AI-generated drafts with exceptional taste and judgment, to make sure that every email is both human and refined. Given our client-base, native-level English is a must for this role.

This role is available fully Remote. No Agencies

Your KPIs:

You are directly responsible for turning our 4,000+ new leads per month and thousands of prior customers into revenue.

Your scoreboard:

1. Lead Sale Conversion

  • Current: 11–15% purchasing main offer
  • Goal: 30%+ conversion within 6–9 months
  • Outcome: +400 new main offer signups/month (or equivalent revenue) you can tie to lifecycle programs.

2. Reactivation

  • Current: low single‑digit % of churned customers reactivating
  • Goal: 10× reactivation volume via structured winback and comeback offers.

3. Upsell / Cross‑sell Volume (per month) You build the email/SMS system that reliably hits or beats these additional monthly order targets:

  • Add‑on growth: +1000 / month across 4 different add-on products

4. Content & Brand Trust

  • Ship 2+ high‑value nurture emails per week that deepen trust with women 45–64 (aesthetics, hormones, longevity, mindset).
  • Turn those into a repeatable content calendar our social media manager can use for IG/FB and SEO blog posts.

What You’ll Actually Do

Own the numbers: Directly accountable for conversion rate improvements across key funnels. Track, forecast, and report on revenue impact with ruthless clarity.

Architect and run all email + compliant SMS campaigns and flows across the lifecycle: lead nurture, first conversion, onboarding, upsell, referral, and winback.

Build segmented, behavior‑based journeys that move our avatar from “curious” to “committed subscribers," not just blast newsletters.

Design and run constant A/B tests on hooks, offers, timing, and segmentation to beat control on opens, clicks, and revenue per recipient.

Create quarterly reactivation and promo calendars that balance value‑first education with clear offers, not endless discounts.

Optimize deliverability & build reporting dashboards and provide weekly/monthly performance readouts on key email KPIs: open rate, CTR, conversion rate, revenue attribution, churn impact.

Must‑Have Experience

4+ years owning email / lifecycle for DTC or subscription brands with hard revenue KPIs (conversion, LTV, reactivation), not just “brand.”

Proven wins taking a high‑volume list and doubling conversion or LTV with data‑driven testing. Show the before/after numbers.

Comfort with regulated or sensitive niches (health, finance, etc.) and compliant email/SMS practices.

Deep familiarity with at least one modern ESP + automation stack (Klaviyo, Customer.io, Braze, etc.) and basic analytics (cohorts, RPR, LTV).

AI‑first workflow: you use tools like ChatGPT/Claude to move 3–5× faster, but you know how to edit and keep voice human.

Maintain fast-paced, high-quality output within a repeatable, efficient process

Nice to Have

Prior work in telehealth, HRT, or supplements.

Experience building reactivation and upsell “money models” where backend offers drive most of the profit.

Ability to translate email angles into social content briefs for IG/FB and blog / SEO posts targeting women 45–64.

Tools You Might Use:

ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper.ai Copy.ai (or similar)

Braze/Klaviyo, Figma, Google Docs, Trello, Slack

The stuff below is cool as well.

  • Remote: our team is fully distributed across the world and functions fully remotely.
