Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on AWS.

  • Implement and manage containerization using Docker, including orchestration tools like Kubernetes or ECS.

  • Develop CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

  • Monitor infrastructure and application performance; implement logging and alerting solutions.

  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth software delivery and integration.

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

  • Troubleshoot system and infrastructure issues, ensuring high system availability and reliability.

  • Implement security best practices and compliance across infrastructure and applications.

  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident management processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, etc.

  • Expertise in Docker containerization and experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS).

  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD.

  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).

  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix administration and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).

  • Understanding of security practices, firewalls, IAM roles, and encrypted communication.

  • Solid grasp of Git, version control practices, and DevOps lifecycle management.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Experience

  • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in a DevOps Engineer role.

  • Prior experience working remotely with globally distributed teams is a plus.
