MIG is responsible for managing the market insights delivered through our suite of software-as-a-service products, including price benchmarking, cost escalation, forecasting, renewable asset cost estimating, commodity exposure, supply chain risks, carbon (GHG) emissions, supplier and other category insights in the energy and natural resource industry. Spend Intelligence team delivers cutting edge intelligence for supply chain organizations in the energy industry. The Spend Intelligence Group is responsible for the data aggregation, normalization, classification, and enhancement process which turns raw customer spend data into Spend Intelligence. The Supply Chain Data team in India is primarily responsible for providing data related support to Spend and MIG teams. These support services include (but not limited to) researching, cleansing, and enriching complex data for customers to find useful insights and connections, as well as categorizing and classifying spend data to make it more usable for our customers. Our clients primarily leverage these insights to identify opportunities to save money and reduce risks. Main Responsibilities: Leverage Wood Mackenzie proprietary data along with secondary research to develop goods and services price and lead times benchmarks and associated strategy recommendations for our clients. Support delivery of insights through our SaaS product platform. Perform data extraction, manipulation, cleaning, analysis, and audit of large datasets, relying on well-structured procedures and maintaining reproducibility of results. Ensure completeness, accuracy, and integrity of data from various internal and external industry sources Combine existing data in new ways, cleanse and enrich data to make it more powerful and pioneer new ways to analyse and visualize data. MIG continually seeks new ways to provide actionable insights to clients. Perform secondary research to collect data on energy industry trends. Work with multiple stakeholders to understand requirements of any new deliverables and make impactful improvements to existing workflows. Create documentation to provide clear understanding of processes. Collaborate with internal client teams effectively to deliver on time with high quality. Collaborate in a self-managed Agile team to drive continuous improvement of our product and processes. Gain a comprehensive understanding of market trends, supply-demand shifts, and pricing factors within the energy industry. About You: Bachelor’s degree with a quantitative focus and 0 to 1 years of experience in Secondary Research Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and time management skills with attention to detail. Proven ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment, to manage multiple tasks and/or projects with changing priorities. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written A self-starter who takes initiative, asks questions, and is eager to learn English proficiency required Pluses: Experience in the energy industry. Proficiency with databases Proficiency with Power BI, Python and SQL Expectations: We use a hybrid work setup and expect at least two in-office days weekly for collaboration; this policy is flexible until we have a dedicated central office. The standard work timings will be 12:00PM to 9:00PM IST as we need some overlapping hours with our colleagues in the U.S.A.
