GROWTH EQUITY INVESTING GS Growth Equity Investing (known as “GS Growth”), is the firm’s later stage venture capital / growth stage investing business within the Asset Management space of the firm. Since 2003 the Growth Equity Investing business has invested over $16 billion in companies led by visionary founders and CEOs. The team’s mandate is to invest in growth stage private software businesses across enterprise, financial, and healthcare technology verticals.

VALUE ACCELERATOR The Value Accelerator (known as the “VA”) is the centralized operating platform within Asset Management responsible for owning the value creation for our private equity investing businesses (ex: corporate, growth, infrastructure, and credit). In close partnership with investing teams, the VA contributes to the success of our portfolio companies throughout the investment lifecycle from pre-investment diligence, to post-close value creation, to optimizing exit strategies.

The platform is comprised of two distinct groups: external operators (known as “Operating Advisors”) organized by Centers of Excellence who leverage their experience and expertise to support the development of our portfolio companies and FTEs who lead core functions that when combined, creates a differentiated catalogue of additional value creation resources. Core functions include Business Development, Community & Events, Data & Insights, Thought Leadership, and more.

We are seeking a highly organized, creative, relentlessly proactive, and relationship-driven candidate who will join the VA platform to support the internal Business Development and Community & Events core functions specifically for the firm’s Growth Equity Investing business. This role will work closely with the GS Growth investing teams, Operating Advisors, and platform team members to strengthen executive communities by planning and executing virtual and in-person events throughout the year, in addition to fostering connections with our portfolio companies and strategic and commercial partners. This is an ideal position for a resourceful, people-oriented operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support ongoing engagement with portfolio CEOs, senior executives, operators, and ecosystem partners
  • Drive end‑to‑end execution of events and community strategy, including virtual and in-person gatherings
  • Support the ongoing evolution of the existing pillars of the business development platform and help launch an external BD community network
  • Assist with speaker coordination, agendas, briefing documents, and manage event timelines
  • Work with GS Growth constituents (investors, advisors, platform, etc.) to facilitate strategic and commercial introductions
  • Collaborate with GS colleagues to expand the enterprise network for greater portfolio reach and connectivity
Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification and have an excellent academic and professional record
  • Between 2-5 years of relevant experience in VC, community management or strategy consulting

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences and levels of seniority
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills and passion for connecting people
  • Strong communication and writing skills, and confidence in interacting with senior executives

Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150000-$225000.
